Mr. Herring was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. He represents individuals in all areas of plaintiff practice and specializes in the areas of consumer fraud, class actions and mass tort litigation. Prior to joining Davis & Norris, Mr. Herring worked for a large defense firm and represented hospitals, physician groups, physicians and other health care providers across the state with regulatory and compliance matters, including the drafting of various services, employment and recruitment agreements.  Mr. Herring is admitted to practice law in the Courts of Alabama and Tennessee and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Mr. Herring is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Association for Justice, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.

Mr. Herring began his legal practice after graduating cum laude from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where he served as Senior Editor for The Cumberland Law Review.  Mr. Herring was also a member of the Henry Upson Simms Moot Court Board, a member of the National Health Law Moot Court Team, an Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow, on the Dean's List, and a six time recipient of the Scholar of Merit award.  During law school, Mr. Herring earned a Master of Public Health degree with a specialization in Health Care Organization and Policy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Before law school, he obtained his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Lipscomb University where he was a Presidential Scholar.
